Often, the negative and cognitive symptoms can have a strong impact on a person’s quality of life.

  • A person who has negative symptoms may seem to lack motivation or emotion.
  • A person who has cognitive symptoms may have difficulty organizing thoughts or memory problems.

Sometimes it’s hard to recognize the negative and cognitive symptoms. Or if you do recognize them, you may not realize they are symptoms of schizophrenia.

A clinical study is being conducted to evaluate an investigational drug to see if it can improve some of these symptoms. If you qualify and choose to participate, you will continue to take your current medication for schizophrenia.
